Diptych: My Dreams vs My Fears

I created a diptych on a mannequin with the left half being my dreams and the right half being my fears – that come in the way of my dreams.

I used InDesign to create the fabrics:

(1) Dreams-Clouds Fabric: It has clouds and says “I have a dream,” all over.

(2) Fear-Fire Fabric: It has fire and says negative obsessive thoughts, such as “I am a failure!”

Some of my dreams include being a fashion designer, which is why I made this diptych on a mannequin, to play and record music in a band (CDs), to create equality in regards to mental health (green ribbon) / there is an image of my hand drowning in the fire / there are wings in the back – half a heart on the dreams side to symbolize the area where my passions come from and half a brain to symbolize where my negative thoughts come from.
